What exactly is mead?
Mead is an alcoholic beverage made by fermenting honey. Similar to wine in the making process, consistency and alcohol content.
Where do you get your honey?
About half of our wildflower honey is coming from Saw Mill Bee Farm in St. Paul, NC. We also have two honey brokers who help us source true-certified organic honey throughout the country.
Are your products gluten-free?
Yes! All of our meads are gluten-free.
Where can I find your mead?
At this time, we do not have a taproom location. However, you can find our meads at your favorite bottle shops in the triangle area, some Total Wines as well as some Lowe’s Foods. You can find us every Saturday at the Durham Farmer’s Market and the Chapel Hill Farmer’s market. The select each week varies so to ensure you get the mead you’d like, you can place an order online for pick up at a local market of your choice. Feel free to reach out with any additional questions.
How long will my mead last after opening it?
Once opened, we find our meads usually last at least 2 weeks if stored in your refrigerator.
What temperature should I serve my mead at?
We are typically serving our mead at room temperature to get the most flavor. They are also nice chilled in the summertime at white wine temperatures (50-55 degrees).
What is a flight?
A flight is a pre-poured tasting of four 2 oz mead samples of your choice.
What states can you ship to?
We use Vinoshipper to ship throughout the United States. All of our shipping information can be found here.
Do you offer curbside pick up?
We do! You can order for curbside pick up here and give us a call at the Tasting Room to bring your order out to your car. Please have your ID ready at pick up. Your ID must match the name on the order.
